IndianRaga is launching the IndianRaga Labs project, and are piloting their first Labs session from 15 - 17 February 2014 in NYC at a special introductory 50% discounted rate for students.
Gone are the days when the only thing an artist needed was years of dedicated training under a guru & countless hours of riyaaz. In today’s digital age, music has transcended boundaries and musicians need much more to give life to their music - a working knowledge of studio recording, sound mixing, video production, artistic collaborations, composition, you name it!
‘IndianRaga Labs’ is an initiative started to give young talented students of Indian classical music this unique space to understand, innovate and experiement with the various artistic and technical aspects of music. The goal is to draw concepts from classical ragas and create music that can be relatable to new audiences, and goes beyond traditional approaches.
For more information and details regarding this initiative, interested applicants can apply at www.indianraga.com/opportunities.
