The Music Room Project

The Music Room Project

 Building community for musicians

and music lovers, alike!

 In The Music Room,

we aim to push the envelope even further.  We are moving beyond borders to celebrate the richness and heritage of Indian Classical Music by returning to one of South Asia’s most revered traditions of the past.

Come join us as we recreate the magic of the

Intimate Baithak!

Just as the centuries old paintings depict, we’ll gather cozily around our visiting maestros for informal talks and intimate performances. No blinding stage lights, no hard seats, just a free and open exchange between artist and audience.

And the magical creations of the rhythms and ragas…

Join us for a season of Indian Classical Music

Up close and personal.

In The Music Room, you’ll be treated to

many exciting performances:

Maestros from South Asia

Few styles of Indian classical music

From Hindustani to Carnatic, Khayal to Dhrupad…

Different casual and intimate settings in the heart of NYC

Each venue more unique than the last...

For unforgettable evenings!

(Masala Chai and Gourmet Snacks served at the Music Room at every performance).

 When music dissolves all boundaries!
